People's Deputy from the "Restoration of Ukraine" group, Anatoliy Burmich, stated that the "senior overseas friends and partners" of Ukraine ordered the processes related to the ban on the UOC. He made this statement in an address published on Yevhen Shevchenko’s Telegram channel.
Burmich believes that the prohibition of the UOC is linked to the visits of representatives from various Churches around the world, including the Anglican Church, to Ukraine.
"I think these are not internal processes. Representatives of other Churches, the Anglican Church, came here. I believe they want to conduct purges in specific regions so that they can enter more calmly and without any resistance, even along the church lines," said the MP.
As reported, the head of the OCU, Epifaniy Dumenko, complained to the Archbishop of Canterbury about the Primate of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry.
