Patriarch John X Welcomes Metropolitan Saba to Lebanon

BALAMAND — On July 17, 2025, His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch received His Eminence Metropolitan Saba of New York and All North America at the patriarchal residence in Balamand, Lebanon. The Patriarch expressed deep pride in the Antiochian Archdiocese across North America and the wider diaspora, while Metropolitan Saba highlighted the importance of maintaining a strong connection to the Church despite distance and difficulties.

“We take pride in our Antiochian Archdiocese in North America and throughout the diaspora,” Patriarch John said. 

Metropolitan Saba is currently abroad, leading a sacred pilgrimage to Jordan and Lebanon that will conclude on July 3, 2025. Accompanying him are 29 current and recently graduated seminarians. The pilgrimage is funded by the donors of the Antiochian Archdiocese and its Board of Trustees.

Previously, UOJ reported that the 57th Biennial Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese Convention is scheduled to be held July 20 - 27 in Chicago.
