PITTSBURGH — The faithful of Holy Trinity Cathedral in Pittsburgh gathered on January 7, 2026, to celebrate the Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with prayer and joy. His Grace Bp. Irinej of Washington–New York and Eastern America presided at the festal Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, joined by parish priest Presbyter Nebojša Varagić, Protodeacon David Manko, and Dn. Daniel August, with readers assisting in the altar.

The cathedral was adorned in festive beauty as the choir chanted the ancient hymns of the Nativity, joined by church school children who proclaimed the Epistle and Nativity antiphons. The service combined solemn reverence with joyful thanksgiving, drawing the congregation into the mystery of Christ’s Incarnation.

At the conclusion of the Liturgy, Dn. Daniel read the Nativity Encyclical of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The celebration continued with warm greetings among clergy and faithful, reflecting the spirit of unity and peace inspired by the birth of Christ.
