ENGLEWOOD, NJ — Metr. Saba has issued his annual letter marking Antiochian Women Month, praising the faithful women of the Archdiocese for their steadfast service as the Church continues its Lenten journey.
Dated March 1, 2026, the message commends women in parishes across North America for their leadership in prayer, charitable outreach, hospitality, and education. The hierarch highlighted their embodiment of Christian discipleship through both visible ministries and quiet acts of devotion “known only to God,” noting their essential role in strengthening parish life.
Metr. Saba also renewed emphasis on the Widowed Clergy Wives Endowment Fund, the Antiochian Women’s annual project supporting the wives of departed clergy. He encouraged parishes to contribute generously, especially during local fundraising efforts. The Metropolitan expressed gratitude for a $150,000 donation from the Orthodox Vision Foundation, calling it a blessing that advances the fund’s long-term goals.
He concluded by invoking Christ’s blessing upon the women of the Archdiocese through the intercessions of the Most Holy Theotokos.
Previously, the UOJ reported that Metr. Saba called the faithful to support Food for Hungry People.
