Patr. Porfirije Meets U.S. Envoy in Belgrade

BELGRADE, SERBIA — Patr. Porfirije received Paola Zampolija at the Patriarchal residence, where the two held a cordial meeting focused on strengthening ties between their nations.
Discussions centered on the historic friendship between the Serbian and American peoples and the potential for expanding cooperation in various fields. Zampolija expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet with the spiritual leader of the Serbian Orthodox Church and to exchange perspectives on shared values and future collaboration.
Patr. Porfirije emphasized that deeper cooperation is best fostered when nations remain grounded in their Christian faith and cultural identity. He noted that such foundations provide a stronger basis for mutual understanding and lasting partnership between peoples.
