**Washington D.C —** In response to [reports](https://uoj.news/news/84534-met-emmanuel-of-chalcedon-threatens-orthodox-times-over-ukraine-article/) that Constantinople's Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon had sent legal notices to Orthodox Times in an attempt to censure their reporting on the dire state of the Ukrainian Church, UOJ-America Editor-in-Chief, Ben Dixon, released a formal statement of support. In it, he states that Orthodox journalists should be free to *"report faithfully and accurately on the life of the Church, free from coercion and baseless attacks by Church officials."*
