Bishop of Serbian Church: Orthodox hierarchs do not welcome autocephaly idea in Ukraine (VIDEO)
A hierarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, bishop Longin (Krco) made a statement that representatives of Local Orthodox Churches are not in favor of the idea of Ukrainian autocephaly.
“The Council did not bring up the issue of Ukraine at all, moreover, that of autocephaly. The hierarchs spoke informally about it but none of them supports this idea”, noted His Eminence.
“Under dogmatic norms the Moscow Patriarchy is a Mother-Church for Ukraine and other autonomous Churches which were granted autonomy by the MP”, he underscored.
