Disputed document of Crete Council is not signed by many bishops of SOC

Bishop Irinej of Backa, who participated in in the Council on Crete as a member of the Serbian Orthodox Church delegation, said that the majority of the bishops who were part of the delegation did not sign the text of the document on the attitude of the Orthodox Church to the non-Orthodox denominations, reports Agionoros

"I was not the only one of the 25 bishops of the Serbian delegation who did not sign the document "The relationship of the Orthodox Church with the rest of the Christian world." Moreover, the document is not signed by many other bishops," he said.

According to Bishop Irinej, the Crete Council will hardly go down in history as "the Holy and Great", apparently it will be considered as "a provincial assembly of participating in it churches."

Recall the Pan-Orthodox Council was held on the Greek island of Crete from 17 to 26 June.
