Newly released Orthodox mobile app

A new mobile application "Blessed Optina" became available for users who will be able to receive daily one of the three thousand quotations from the teachings of 14 Optina elders, reports Pravmir.

The app allows you to search for quotes on thematic sections, to add your favourite quotes to your favourites, to easily share them with your friends (via SMS, Viber, Telegram, WhatsApp, etc.), to set the time you receive a message and select a notification tone. The app also features a special mode for the visually impaired, reports the website of the Moscow Patriarchate.

The project is realized with the blessing of the governor of the Vvedensky Stavropighial Monastery Optina Pustyn, Archimandrite Benedict (Penkov).

The application "Blessed Optina" is an extension of SMS-mailing "Optina" organized by the pilgrimage "Blessed Athos' center together with Optina Pustyn in 2011. Then the number of subscribers amounted to more than 200 thousand people.
