Today the Zhitomir Regional Administrative Court in a public hearing considered a statement of claim of the Executive Committee of the Zhitomir City Council to the Zhitomir diocese of the UOC on the limitations of the mass event. The officials referred to the fact that the nine public organizations appealed to the City Council with the aim to interfere with the Cross Procession of peace, love and prayer for Ukraine. They put the city council on notice that they will picket the event. The Executive Committee "in order to avoid clashes and conflicts between the participants of the gatherings of citizens" went to court with the intention to change the route of the religious column. The court ruled to leave the claim without consideration.
Today the Cross Procession has passed through the main streets of Zhitomir, gathering thousands of the faithful.
