Patriarch of Antioch: We must put an end to the crisis in Syria
August 17, the President of Poland Andrzej Duda met with Patriarch John of Antioch at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw, reports Romfea.
During the meeting with the President of Poland, the Primate of the Antiochian Church described the current situation in Syria, Lebanon and the Middle East, stressing that for centuries Christians and Muslims have lived in peace in the region.
"We need to put an end to the crisis in Syria and terrorism in the Middle East", stressed the Patriarch of Antioch.
Metropolitan John also mentioned the two bishops kidnapped three years ago, whose plight is still unknown, and stressed that Lebanon is going through a political crisis connected with the election of a new President.
On his part, the President of Poland greeted the Patriarch of Antioch and accompanying him other members of the delegation, saying that he follows the developments in the Middle East and Syria with compassion.
"Poland will make every effort to find a peaceful solution in Syria and in the Middle East", assured Mr. Duda.
