Cross Procession from Kamenets-Podolsky entered the Pochaev Lavra

According to the UOJ source, today at 13.30 first participants of the Cross procession from Kamenets-Podolsky entered the Holy Dormition Pochaev Lavra. At the moment of news publication the pilgrims continue to arrive at the place. All in all, over 20 thousand believers took part in the religious event.

The Cross Procession continued for 6 days. Its youngest participant is 26 days today, while its oldest one is 81 years old.        

The faithful find it obligatory to kiss the Holy Virgin’s footprint – the Lavra’s sanctity. According to the Legendary, a lot of years blind pilgrim woman Anna did the same thing and recovered her sight.

The Cross Procession has taken place for the 184th time.
