UOC dioceses pray for deceased law enforcers

On the Day of Remembrance for internal affairs officers who died in the line of duty memorial services we held in the Sumy and the Odessa dioceses, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

The Pokrovsky Cathedral of Akhtyrka a memorial service was held the for law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty. The memorial service for the dead policemen was ministered by Archpriest Eugene Sopiga of Akhtyrka and Velikaya Pisarevka church districts. He was concelebrated by the clergy of the city.

In the Odessa diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the diocese cleric Priest Oleg Sikorsky celebrated a memorial service in the territory of the Public Security Police Battalion for special purposes in the village of Koshary, Limansky (Kominternovsky) district of Odessa region.

At the memorial sign to policemen who fell victims of terrorists in this place, the relatives and colleagues prayed together with the clergyman.
