Metropolitan of Kiev Patriarchate “beatified” UPA warriors (VIDEO)

Having sanctified a church in their honor as All Saints of the Ukrainian Land, we showed love for the UPA warriors, beatifying them, – announced Metropolitan of Lutsk and Volynsk Mikhail (Zinkevich) of the UOC Kiev Patriarchate on 28 August 2016. It is reported by the diocesan studio Sobor.

In his sermon after sanctifying the church in Vovchak stow of Turiysk deanery, UOC KP Metropolitan Mikhail said, “We believe them to be the men of holy life. Today we’ve shown our live for the UPA (Ukrainian Militant Army) warriors by founding the church in their honor and beatifying them as all saints of the Ukrainian land.”

“Let it be up to the discretion of the Seym what decision to take – our heroes will always remain heroes today and forever,” he added.
