Spiritual education of the deaf to be discussed at the Kiev forum

3-4 December, with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphriy of Kiev and All Ukraine, Kiev will host the All-Ukrainian winter spiritual and educational forum for people with hearing impairments, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

The event will take place on the basis of the Kiev Theological Academy. The forum is organized by the Voznesensk eparchy of the UOC and the Sunday school "Hear with the heart" of the UOC Cathedral. The goal of the forum is to promote missionary work among the deaf, as well as spiritual education of deaf people.

The conference program includes, in addition to the spiritual and educational lectures and round tables, the Divine Liturgy with the sign language and a tour of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.

People with hearing impairments and sign language interpreters of Ukrainian Orthodox communities are welcome to take part in the forum.
