Filaret expresses his wish to make “friends” with UOC
“I believe church raiding inappropriate. One should not have a grudge against Moscow Patriarchate, but instead come to terms with it in order to actualize an idea of establishing one Ukrainian Local Orthodox Church. Enemies cannot get united – only friends,” declared Filaret.
It will be reminded that over three recent years, adherents of the “Kiev Patriarchate” with the support of right radical forces seized illegally 44 shrines of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, and conflicts are still pending. Besides, the UOC KP stood in favor of discriminatory draft laws, directed against the canonical Church.
