Cross procession with a prayer to help drug addicts to be held in Dnipro

With the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine, on 1 March, the International Day against Drug Abuse and Drug Trafficking, in the churches of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church grace-making prayers for those suffering from this addiction are made, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

In the city of Dnipro, on March 4, a Cross procession with a prayer for God's help to drug addicts will be held. The organizer of the procession was the Pastoral centre for drug addicts in honor of St. Agapetus of Pechersk.

The Synod Department of the UOC for social and humanitarian issues provides ongoing support to people with this serious and terrible disease. To obtain support for drug addicts and their families by the priests of the UOC call the hotline 0800 50 26 86.
