On Holy Saturday, Christians around the world are looking forward to a miracle that occurs annually at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem on Great Saturday, the day preceding Orthodox Easter, – the descent of the Holy Fire. According to the ancient tradition, the annual miraculous fire which emanates in the Holy Land is believed to be a sign of the Lord’s grace and care and gives believers the hope that God prolongs the existence of the world for another year.
