"Third gender" removed from documents of Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine removed the "third gender" from the draft "Declaration on the Choice of a Primary Care Physician," writes LPG.

As reported, now in the questionnaire for patients it is proposed to indicate only two genders: "M" - male, "F" - female. A corresponding explanation was sent to the movement "All together!" signed by the Deputy Minister of Health Pavel Kovtoniuk.

In the original version of the Declaration of the patient, the "unknown gender", designated by the letter "N" (Ukrainian), was also indicated. This caused public protest. In this regard, the Ministry of Health, meeting the demands of citizens, decided to remove the so-called "unknown gender" from the project.

The letter by the Ministry of Health to the movement "All together!" says the following: "Section I of the Declaration "Patient's data", clause 4 of the rubric concerning the patient's gender indicates:" M "- male;" F "- female; also, the Instruction on filling in the Declaration on the Choice of a Primary Care Physician (posted on the website of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine) is annexed."

The civil movement "All together!" continues to monitor the process of improving the documentation of the Ministry of Health and other ministries and departments. "We call on citizens to be attentive and active in order to prevent encroachment on traditional family and Christian values," the organization's press service said.
