The Rothschild Foundations and the Caesarea Edmond de Rothschild Corporation are investing more than NIS 100 million on the renovation of the ancient harbor at Caesarea built by King Herod the Great, reports Jewish Press.

“Archaeologists are working to renovate the ancient harbor at Caesarea, and now plan to continue the excavation in the Caesarea National Park as well,” says the report.

The Israel Antiquities Authority and the nation’s Nature and Parks Authority have scheduled an announcement for next week, with expanded details about the project.
