"21st century Cossacks" install the symbol of "religion of freedom" on the Dnieper banks
The vice-president of KCSA Gennady Plis handed the flag of "Freedom and diversity" to the participants of the event, who further installed it in Navodnitsky Park, not far from the monument to the founders of Kiev.
According to Plis, participants and guests of Eurovision-2017 should see that "diversity and freedom" are the highest values of the Ukrainian people. "With the help of our friends – 21st century Cossacks on iron horses – we will symbolically establish this flag of "freedom and diversity" on the picturesque bank of the Dnieper, next to the monument to the founders of Kiev," said the official.
He added that the unity of Ukrainians cannot be destroyed, despite the uniqueness of each of us.
The route of the motocross ran from Sofia's square along Khreshchatyk and the Dnieper embankment, past the monument to the founders of Kiev in Navodnitsky park, where the participants installed a flag with the slogan "Freedom is our religion". The race was completed on the left bank of the Dnieper near the International Exhibition Centre on Brovarsky Avenue, where the Eurovision Song Contest is being held.
Recall, the Arch of Friendship of Peoples in Kiev to Eurovision was painted in the rainbow resembling the colors of LGBT people. Because of the right-wing radicals' protests, the painting was suspended, and the uncolored part was decorated with Ukrainian ornament.
