Filaret is called "the best politologist of Ukraine"

French political scientist Olivier Vedrine received an order from the head of the UOC-KP and paid a compliment, calling Filaret "the best politologist in Ukraine", reports the website of the Kiev Patriarchate.

During the meeting, Filaret spoke with the Frenchman on political topics and outlined his view on Russian-Ukrainian relations.

According to the leader of the Kiev Patriarchate, the reason for the war was that "Ukraine chose Europe, but not Russia."

He also compared the level of freedom in Ukraine and Russia, "You see what freedom is in Ukraine, and what regime is in Russia."

"I believe that you are the best politologist in Ukraine, you provided an extremely profound analysis of the situation that is now in the world," the French political scientist replied, having received the order of the UOC-KP for "merits on the revival of spirituality in Ukraine and the approval of the Local Ukrainian Orthodox Church."

Vedrine noted that "he always supported the UOC-KP, the Russian opposition, and those "who are fighting against Putin's regime".

"Ukraine is a country that should show that the European model is the best," the political scientist said.

As the UOJ reported, the "Tornado" militants who Filaret stood up for received 74 years in prison.
