One cannot build a nation by dividing confessions into “patriotic” and “politically incorrect” – UOC representative
"The nation we build together." Such an inscription, which is actually a motto, I saw in Washington on the building of the National Museum of American History. The country consists of many ethnic groups, people of different languages, cultures, and skin colors. But all of them in America are members of one political nation – the American one. The elite of the country made everyone equal and the nation is built by everyone! And they succeed.
I think that while only "patriots", and mostly Ukrainian-speaking ones, with the blessing of "patriotic" denominations, continue to "build" the nation in Ukraine, with all "dissenting", Russian-speaking and politically "incorrect" confessions being artificially tagged as enemies, nothing will work out in Ukraine", the priest of the UOC considers.
He also cites the point of view of a European who follows political and ecclesiastical events in Ukraine and who believes that excessive patriotism creates problems.
"This foreigner, with his European delicacy, made the following diagnosis in relation to Ukraine:" Too much patriotism." "I understand you," the man went on, "patriotism is good, but when there is too much, it's already bad, it gives rise to problems." This was the opinion of the man who is a stranger for our country," emphasized Nikolay Danilevich.
