Hierarchs of UOC and Constantinople Patriarchate declare the necessity of protecting the canonical order in the Church

On June 15, the chancellor of the UOC Metropolitan Anthony of Borispol and Brovary met with the rector of the Patriarchal Higher Church Academy of Crete Metropolitan Andrew of Arkalochori (Patriarchate of Constantinople), reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

The high guest was accompanied by the clergyman of the Thessaloniki Metropolis of the Greek Orthodox Church, Protopriest Antonios Patriciu. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC, Protopriest Nikolai Danilevich.

The clergy discussed the issues of cooperation between the Orthodox spiritual schools of Kiev and the island of Crete. Hierarchs noted the importance of developing diverse contacts between the Local Orthodox Churches of the world, as well as the need to preserve church unity and protect the canonical order in the Church.
