UOC Primate congratulates believers on the holiday of Birth of John the Baptizer (PHOTO, VIDEO)

On July 7, on the holiday of the Birth of honest glorious John the Forerunner, Prophet and Baptizer, His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kiev and all Ukraine Onuphry led the Divine Liturgy at the Forerunner’s side-chapel of the Holy Assumption Cathedral of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. It is reported by the UOC Information and Education Department of the UOC.

His Beatitude was co-served by the rector of the monastery, Metropolitan of Vyshhorod and Chernobyl Paul, Bishop of Irpen Kliment and brethren of the monastery in the holy dignity.

During the service, a special prayer was offered for peace in Ukraine.

Upon the end of the Liturgy, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry congratulated the flock on the feast of the Birth of John the Baptist and blessed everyone.
