August 17 marks the third anniversary of enthronement of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry

On August 17 at the Holy Assumption Kiev-Pechersk Lavra festivities are being held on the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of enthronement of Metropolitan Onufry to the Department of Kiev Metropolitans.

On the day of the anniversary of the enthronement of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, a Divine Liturgy took place on the square in front of the Assumption Cathedral of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.

Believers from all over Ukraine came to congratulate the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on this festive date.

At the UOC Council of Bishops, held August 13, 2014 in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Onufry was elected Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The enthronement took place on August 17, 2014 in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
