UOC KP brags in mass and social media how it broke the law in Baturin

As reported by the UOJ source, members of the Kyiv Patriarchate and several dozens of its adherents arbitrarily entered the UOC temple of Resurrection in Baturin and held a moleben service there. Later on they boasted about it in mass media and on Facebook page, having called this occurrence the “beginning”.

"For several years on, the authorities have been slow with the execution in Baturin of the Law of Ukraine" On Freedom of Conscience" on the alternate access of religious denominations to worship buildings owned by the state," supporters of the Kyiv Patriarchate said. "We are waiting for the return of the access of the UOC-KP faithful to other shrines that are in state ownership."

At the same Filaret followers peculiarly interpreted the Law, which they themselves refer to.

"Even if the temple is owned by the state, then the state, in the person of the local government body, when transferring the church to the use of the religious community, takes an appropriate decision about this,” told to the UOJ head of the UOC Law Department Archpriest Alexander Bakhov. And already on the basis of this decision the religious community uses the temple. And you cannot just come and say: we decided that this church is a state church, and we all have the right to use it! These relations are regulated by the law of Ukraine "On Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations". A religious organization has the right to use property, which is transferred to it according to the decision of regional administrations. That is, it's not just that I come to the temple and pray there, because I decided so. To use the temple, there must be appropriate documents. Only in this case the religious community gets the right to use the property. The second point is about the alternate use of the temple by two or more religious communities. In order to transfer the temple to the alternate use, there must also be a corresponding solution. To date, those churches that are in the legitimate use of religious communities of the UOC cannot be deprived under the law of this right. To do this, you must first cancel the decision and the contract that gives the appropriate right. Only after this it is possible to make a decision on the alternate use."

In Baturin there are already several churches of the Kyiv Patriarchate.
