UOC refutes a lie in the media about Metropolitan Onufry

His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Onufry is performing a Divine service at the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra on September 8

His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Onufry is performing Divine services at the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra on September 8 and 9, wrote Protopriest Nikolai Danilevich, deputy chairman of the UOC DECR, on his Facebook page.

"Attention, another lie!

His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry served a vigil at the Lavra, which is reported on the official website of the UOC. And tomorrow he will serve the Liturgy in the Lavra.

His Beatitude Met. Onufry is neither flying anywhere, nor running away, nor preparing anyone for a riot. He is calm, he is praying, he is serving.

"Why to lie so blatantly and write offensive things about His Beatitude? Nothing sacred among the people," explained the priest.

On September 8, on the website of one of the Chernovtsy media, false information appeared that "the Moscow priests are preparing a coup in Ukraine" and His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine flew from Chernovtsy to Gomel.
