A fake account of the Abbot of Sviatogorsk Lavra created on Facebook

Abbot of Sviatogorsk Lavra Metropolitan Arseny

Recently, a fake account of the Abbot of the Sviatogorsk Lavra has been registered on Facebook. This is reported by the press service of the monastery.

"The press service of the Sviatogorsk Lavra on behalf of Metropolitan Arseny states that this profile was created without his blessing and has nothing to do with either Metropolitan Arseny or Sviatogorsk Lavra," the official statement reads. “All information by Metropolitan Arseny and the Lavra’s press service is published exclusively on the official website of the Lavra and on its official accounts in social networks."

After a while, the profile of "Metropolitan Arseny Yakovenko" was removed from the social network.

Earlier, the Ovruch eparchy denied another fake, which is distributed on Facebook on behalf of Metropolitan Vissarion.
