UOC community in Portugal celebrates their first Patron Saint’s Day

The UOC community in the Portuguese city of Braga

In the Portuguese city of Braga, the Orthodox parish of the UOC in honor of the Saints of Vera (Faith), Nadezhda (Hope), and Liubov (Love), and their mother Sophia (Wisdom) celebrated their first feast day. The deputy head of the UOC DECR Protopriest Nikolai Danilevich told about it on his Facebook page.

On September 30, on the day of the memory of the Holy Martyrs, Father Nikolai, together with the head of the community, celebrated the Liturgy in the chapel of Archangel Michael. After the service, guests were invited to a feast, as well as a cultural program prepared by the parishioners.

The parish was founded in 2017 with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine. Services are held weekly in the chapel of the Archangel Michael at: Rua Cardoso Avelino 3, 4700-023 Braga, Capela de São Miguel-o-Anjo.
