Members of Synod of Constantinople Patriarchate sign Tomos for OCU

The hierarchs of the Synod of the Constantinople Patriarchate signed theTomos for the OCU

Photos from the ceremony of signing the document, which was returned to Istanbul because of the missing signatures of all members of the Holy Synod, are published by the "TSN".

From this moment, the document is considered finalized.

Within a few days, Tomos will be brought back to Ukraine.

As the UOJ reported, the Tomos on the autocephalous of the OCU, which was put on public display at St. Sophia’s Cathedral, was only signed by Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople and was returned to Istanbul for finalization.

We recall that on January 5, 2019, to the sounds of carols and shouts “Glory to Ukraine – Glory to Heroes!”, the signing ceremony of Tomos took place at the Istanbul Patriarch's Church of St. George.

On January 6, 2019, Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople gave the Tomos and the Metropolitan Crosier to the “Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine” Epiphany.

In Ukraine, the Tomos was presented during the festive Liturgy at St. Sophia’s Cathedral on January 7, at which "Metropolitan" Epiphany commemorated the name of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia for the first time since the formation of the OCU.
