In Volyn raiders break into the UOC temple during the divine service
The temple, whose community refused to move to the OCU, is in the face of raider seizure in Volyn
The festive vespers on the eve of the Epiphany of the UOC church in the village of Krymno were attempted to be disrupted by the OCU activists. This is reported by the UOJ correspondent.
According to the rector of the church, priest Sergei Golodiuk, the UOC community managed to hold a holy water prayer service, followed by the great intersection and matins. In the middle of the service in the temple of the Nativity of the Forerunner John the Baptist, two or three women first appeared in the room, who began to interrupt the priest and shout out loud remarks. Then there arrived a bit more numerous reinforcement with the representative of the Kiev Patriarchate from the district center, who was “cordoned” in the temple for “a holy water prayer service”. The UOC community continued its worship service near the royal gates despite the unwanted guests.
On the day of the feast of the Epiphany of God, most likely, the temple in Krymno will generally be closed. The correspondent reports that the parishioners are afraid that the raiders will rush into the room and occupy it – early in the morning the supporters of the OCU announced their divine service. The service of the UOC community should begin later, at 12 o'clock.
Recall, on January 17, a community of the UOC of the villages of Krymno and Bronitsa of Bronitsa village council of Kamen-Kashirsky district, with a number of at least 150 people, held a village gathering at which it was decided to refuse to “transfer” to the OCU. At the same time, a meeting of the territorial community was held in the village, initiated by the local authorities, where on unexplainable grounds it was announced that the local church was to be “transferred” to the OCU.
