In Rovno region, ready application samples for transfer to OCU handed out

Ready-made application samples for transfers to the schismatic OCU are given out to the heads of rural territorial communities in the Rovno region, reports the UOC Information and Education Department.

“Initiated by local authorities, pressure groups are organized to attend meetings of territorial communities and urge parishioners to change the confessional affiliation of local parishes,” the clergymen of the Polessye eparchy say.

Since such actions do not bring the desired result and the UOC believers in the overwhelming majority remain faithful to their Church, the heads of district administrations and village territorial communities are actively involved in campaigning for the transition to the OCU. They are handed out in advance ready application samples for the "transfer" of the village religious community to schismatics.

The eparchy press service notes that such actions are a deliberate violation of Ukrainian legislation in the sphere of state-church relations.

As the UOJ reported, the Vinnitsa regional police officially appealed to the officials explaining the inadmissibility of their interference in the activities of religious communities.
