Head of OCU calls on Orthodox Ukrainians for dialogue in English
"Primate" of the new church structure Epiphany Dumenko
"Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine" Epiphany Dumenko urged on Twitter UOC believers to unite with the OCU on the basis of "autocephalous status". At the same time, he gives his structure the name of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church headed by His Beatitude Onufry – the UOC.
Readers did not appreciate such a progressive gesture of the OCU head and ask the logical question: “Why not in the nightingale (Ukrainian – Ed.) language?”
Earlier, the head of the OCU has said that the community that is transferring sometimes cuts locks on their temple. “For legally they’ve made a decision and chosen their Ukrainian church,” he added.
