OCU cleric Oleksandr Dediukhin said that one should not expect the salvation of the soul from the Church. He wrote about this on his Facebook page.
“Coming to the Church, one should not seek the salvation of the soul,” Dediukhin assures “If only because at the moment of ‘churching’ you do not really understand the meaning of both the word ‘soul’ and the word ‘salvation’."
The "priest" believes that an ordinary person can be able to figure out what a "soul" is but “hardly” what "salvation" means.
Oleksandr Dediukhin is convinced that one should go through "hardships, wars, Maidans, despair, joy, fire, water, fear, determination, death and resurrection" on their way to God. And the goal of human existence is "for every man to become a god by grace."
In the comments, readers thanked Dediukhin for such a successful missionary move. One of them wrote, “Great! I did the right thing by not going to church. Thank you, father."
Earlier, Dediukhin stated that the Maidan is the action of the Holy Spirit, while the explosion in the St. Petersburg metro occurred through the prayers of the UOC-KP.
