In addition, it is reported that the Catholic University of Notre Dame will confer honorary doctorate to Patriarch Bartholomew.

Details of the program of the visit to the United States are supposed to be discussed in the coming weeks with the Archbishop of America, Elpidophoros (Lambriniadis), who plans to visit Phanar in the second half of November.

Recall that the previous visit of Patriarch Bartholomew to America took place ten years ago, in October 2009.
