Last week, unknown persons robbed the Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos of the UOC in the village of Kut of the Glybokaya district, Chernivtsi region. This is the second robbery in recent years, reports the press service of the Chernivtsi-Bukovina Eparchy of the UOC.

It is noted that thieves entered the temple through a window. According to the rector Fr. Alexander, the attackers took the money and liturgical wine.

“Unfortunately, the thieves did not understand that they stole more from themselves than from the church as the punishment from God can affect not only the thieves themselves but their descendants. God forgive them because they don’t know what they are doing,” the eparchy’s press service said in a statement.

We recall that in September, unknown criminals stole money and tools that were used for restoration work in the Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos in the village of Kut.
