OCU “priest” participates in UGCC worship in Ternopol region
"Priest" of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) Vladimir Stefanko at the divine service of the UGCC in Germakovka
On November 4, 2019, in the village of Germakovka, Ternopol Region, the “priest” of the local Holy Assumption community of the OCU Fr. Vladimir Stefanko took part in the festive service of the Greek Catholic Church. The UOJ learnt about it from its own sources.
The Holy Assumption community of Melnitsa-Podolskaya dean’s office of Buchach Diocese of the UGCC in Germakovka celebrated on this day the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Greek Catholic church in the village, reconstructed from the old Catholic church. On this occasion, the ruling Uniate bishop Dmitry Grigorak was invited, who in 2009 consecrated this temple. The priest of the OCU together with the parishioners was invited to the feast.
The photographs show that OCU priest Vladimir Stefanko was respectively dressed and participated in the service along with the clergy of the UGCC.
Recall, on October 13, 2019, in the city of Varash, Rovno region, the head of the OCU Epiphany Dumenko prayed in the altar of the local church with Catholic priest Vasily Plakhotka.
