On December 3, 2019, the final meeting of the UAOC liquidation commission was held. This was announced on his Facebook page by Vitaly Danchak, secretary of the “metropolis” of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

In particular, being at the premises of the Chancellery of the OCU in the territory of St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery, Vitaly Danchak said that the “final meeting of the liquidation commission of the religious organization ‘Patriarchy of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church ‘” was held.

The former UAOC’s “bishops” Vladimir Shlapak and German Semanchuk, as well as “priest” Vitaliy Danchak took part in the commission on the liquidation of the UAOC.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the Kiev Patriarchate and the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church self-dissolved before the start of the “Unification Council” on December 15, 2018.

However, later Filaret Denisenko said that the Kiev Patriarchate was not liquidated and still exists.

In turn, the head of the UAOC, Makariy Maletich, said he would not liquidate the UAOC until Filaret liquidated the UOC-KP.
