Phanar head signs OCU community's petition to switch to new style

On December 24, 2022, Patriarch Bartholomew signed an official petition of one of the communities of the Volyn Eparchy of the OCU to switch to the New Julian calendar. Photos of the event were published on Facebook by Larisa Savchuk.

The petition states that the Lutsk Annunciation community of the OCU "asks for the blessing to switch to the New Julian calendar so that with the Mother Church to glorify the Lord with one mouth".

The petition bears the signature of the OCU "Metropolitan" Mykhailo Zinkevych.

Earlier the UOJ wrote that according to the Lutsk journalist, the head of the Phanar allowed the entire Volyn Eparchy to move to the Julian calendar, but it turned out to be untrue.
