On the night of March 3, 2023, shelling of the city of Ochakov, Mykolayiv region, damaged St. Agapetus of Pechersk Church of the UOC, reports the UOC Information and Educational Department with reference to the Facebook page of a believer from Ochakov, Daniil Dmitriev.
Daniil published a photo and a video of the damage to the church, which is located on the territory of the sanatorium "Borysfen", and stressed that such actions "are unacceptable for the creation of God".
"God created all things good and for good, and actions that destroy buildings, take lives, infringe on state independence cannot be good," the UOC Information Department cited the parishioner's message.
Earlier, the residence of the ruling bishop of the Kherson Eparchy of the UOC was damaged by shelling.
