Members of the Holy Synod of the UOC arrived at the building of the Office of the President of Ukraine to meet with Ukrainian Head of State Volodymyr Zelensky. This was announced by the UOC Chancellor, Metropolitan Anthony, on Facebook.

“Members of the Holy Synod of the UOC came to the Office of the President to meet with the President of Ukraine,” he wrote.

A representative of the President has already come out to the bishops of the UOC in order to “take an appeal”. However, members of the Synod insist on a personal meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky.

It should be noted that a meeting of the Holy Synod of the UOC was held today. It discussed issues related to the future fate of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and its residents. The members of the Synod also had to discuss violations of the rights of Ukrainian citizens to freedom of religion.

As reported by the UOJ, the UOC is being expelled from the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
