Rob McCann, CEO of East Washington's Catholic Charities, said that considering Jesus Christ to be white is racism.
In a video posted on the organization’s official YouTube channel and expressing solidarity with the Black Lives Matter, McCann stated that he is a racist: “I am a racist, that’s the hard truth.”
According to him, “as a white person living in America, where every institution is geared to advantage people who look like me, it’s seemingly impossible for me to be anything other than a racist.”
He also spoke about the historical and ongoing systemic racism in the RCC and stated that "the Catholic Church is based on the racist premise that Jesus is white."
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that in the US they demand to remove the images of “white Jesus” as racist propaganda.
