On April 2, 2023, OCU activists began to storm the Holy Intercession Cathedral in Khmelnytsky.

The video of the assault was published on the Facebook page of the Khmelnytsky diocese of the UOC.

According to eyewitnesses, there are about 500 people now. People are chanting: “Down with the Moscow priest”, “Glory to Ukraine” and singing the national anthem.

The reason for the seizure of the cathedral was a provocation, which was staged by a mummery military man in the Khmelnytsky Cathedral.

Recall that today during the liturgy in the Khmelnytsky Cathedral, a mummer in uniform provoked a conflict by insulting the clergyman, throwing him off the pulpit, knocking the Gospel out of his hands and throwing it on the floor.

The secretary of the Khmelnytsky diocese of the UOC, Father Oleksandr Rybchynsky, told the UOJ that today at 5-6 pm the OCU activists are going to seize the Holy Intercession Cathedral in Khmelnytsky.

As the UOJ previously reported, OCU activists announced the seizure of the cathedral in Khmelnytsky.
