On April 5, 2023, the territorial community in Khmelnytsky “transferred” the UOC Church of the Nativity of the Virgin to the OCU, according to the suspilnekhmelnytsky telegram channel.

“On April 5, about a thousand people voted for the transfer of the religious community of the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in Khmelnytsky from the UOC to the OCU. The chairman of the commission Vitaliy Prysiazhniuk told about it. It happened at a meeting near the church, where the community gathered. There continues the inventory of internal movable and immovable property, which is located on the territory of the church. After the inventory, the temple will be sealed and documents will be submitted for re-registration of the religious community as part of the OCU,” the statement said.

The religious community of the temple confirmed their loyalty to the UOC and His Beatitude Onufry.

As previously reported by the UOJ, OCU raiders seized the UOC Cathedral in Khmelnytsky.
