On 21 April 2023, the public movement "Myriany" called on UOC believers to defend the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

According to "Myriany", "today the authorities have decided to take away our Shrine completely".

They said that even during services in the Lavra, the police are preparing to seal its buildings. "The Ministry of Culture has allocated more than four million hryvnias for these lawless security actions."

"We, unlike them, do not stand for any money but for our Shrine! That is why we urge everyone to come to the Lavra right now!" the public movement "Myriany" wrote.

They highlighted that believers do not do provocations, do not break laws and are full citizens of Ukraine.

"Myriany" urged the believers to leave all their things and go to defend the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

Apparently, the authorities decided to take away the Lavra not all at once but in parts, literally one building at a time. Therefore, attacks on the monastery will continue in the near future and if the UOC faithful do not rally around the monastery, they will lose it.

As earlier reported, police blocked Building 39 of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and cut the locks on Building 44 of the Lavra.
