On April 21, 2023, police representatives prohibited the entry of monks who participated in the Cross procession to the gates of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra monastery. The police are blocking the entrance to the Lavra and demanding that the monks show their passports if they want to return to the monastery.

The Lavra monks went out on the Cross procession to the believers standing near the barrier at the entrance to the monastery. When the monks tried to return to the monastery, the police blocked their entrance and demanded that they show their documents. "They are at home. Do you also walk around with your passport?" one of the believers asked the police officer.

The video also shows one of the police officers pushing a monk and immediately covering his face with a balaclava.

Earlier, the SBU started checking the laptops of the Lavra monks.
