25 clerics and monks of UOC monks killed in hostilities since 2014

Since 2014, 25 clerics, clergy and monks of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church have been killed in military actions in Ukraine. This is revealed in a video published on the YouTube channel of the UOC Synodal Department for Cooperation with the Armed Forces and other military formations of Ukraine.

The list of the dead includes:

⦁ Chaplain Vitaly Gubenko (died 25 January 2019);
⦁ Hieromonk Theodosius (Goncharov) (died 24 February 2022);
⦁ Regent Volodymyr Valuisky (died 27 February 2022);
⦁ altar boy Yevgen Nadvulychny (died 27 February 2022);
⦁ church choir singer Elena Kulbaka (died 2 March 2022);
⦁ Archpriest Volodymyr Bormashev (died 28 March 2022);
⦁ Hieromonk Partheny (Fedorchenko) (died 3 May 2022);
⦁ Monk Herman (died 21 May 2022);
⦁ Protodeacon Oleksandr Tkachenko (died 30 May 2022);
⦁ Archimandrite Galaktion (Vuychenko) (died 1 June 2022);
⦁ Monk Aristoklii (Khashchina) (died 1 June 2022);
⦁ Nun Barbara (Kysil) (died 1 June 2022);
⦁ Hierodeacon Alipy (Bondar) (died 3 June 2022);
⦁ Monk Joanna (Melnik) (died 3 June 2022);
⦁ Priest Bohdan Kaplun (died 16 July 2022);
⦁ Deacon Victor Ostroushko (died 20 September 2022);
⦁ novice monk Vadim (died 31 October 2022);
⦁ Archimandrite Dionysius (Tiviakov) (died 14 November 2022);
⦁ Worker of the monastery Yuri (died 13 January 2023);
⦁ Hieromonk Boniface (died 31 January 2023);
⦁ Deaconess Savva (died 31 January 2023);
⦁ Deacon Mykola Matvienko (died 2 February 2023).

As reported, on 25 April 2023, in the UOC Peter and Paul Church in Bucha, Bishop Arkadiy of Gostomel, together with the clergy, served funeral services for soldier Andriy Vasylenko, who read and sang in the church choir before the war.
