MinCult Commission after inspection of Lavra buildings: “Perfect condition”

Maryana Tomyn, the chairman of the commission for the transfer and acceptance of property of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, said on the air of Channel 5 that on May 9, the commission of the Ministry of Culture had inspected 5 buildings of the Lavra. The condition of these buildings, according to her, is simply perfect. The monks open all the doors and do not interfere with their inspection.

Tomyn said that now all the premises of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra are being prepared for transfer to the Reserve, and the work of the commission should be completed by May 15.

To date, the commission of the Ministry of Culture has examined and activated about 40 objects out of 79.

As the UOJ reported, after the transfer of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra to the Reserve, the head of the State Ethnic Policy announced the reconstruction of the Lavra caves.
