UOC Korsunka Convent flooded due to dam failure in Kherson region

In the village of Korsunka, Kherson region, the Korsunka Holy Virgin Convent of the UOC has been completely flooded due to a dam breach of the Kakhovka HPP. Vladimir Leontyev, the Russian-appointed "mayor" of Novaya Kakhovka, told RIA-Novosti.

"The Korsunka Convent, founded in the 18th century, is completely flooded," he said.

Leontyev also noted that in addition to the nunnery, two palaces and an apartment building in the Novaya Kakhovka "district" were also completely flooded.

As reported, seven UOC churches in the Kherson region were flooded due to a Kakhovka HPP dam break.
